TBH I don't blame the guy. I mean I'm a fan of Dust, but I'm more a fan of the Souls series, a franchise that has been around longer than Dust (not necessarily EVE though), and I am very hyped to play the game, and would recommend it to gamers who like a challenge. I mean I'll be gone for weeks if not months depending on how good it is, and as much as Dust is a good entertaining game (for now) Souls is just more interesting to me, much like it is for this guy, a CoD player, or a BF player.
Its just in your demographic as a gamer. |

A) go to a forum where the conversation can be more appreciated B) my opinion So...okay? It's in my demographic. I like GTA, still my point remains...
Suppose so I guess.
I know this is a forum for Dust 514, he probably should have put this in Off Topic or whatever, but we don't need to be too strong armed about it. In the end it really doesn't matter. |

As for me, since Dust came I really started losing interest in other shooters like Battefield. I do want to play Killzone SF as I love that franchise, but only for the single player which I will go through once, maybe twice, whenever the day comes that I get a PS4. GTA style games never really interested me, closest game to it that I ever enjoyed was Red Faction: Guerrilla which I played the hell out of, but more for the destruction and less for the open world / mess with civilians thing.
There's still other games I'll play like racing or sports titles and such, but when it comes to anything with a role playing aspect it fails to hold my attention for long because it's either singleplayer only or a title that will soon get replaced by something else. Not that they are bad, I'll still play great RPGs with great stories and such, but to put it in a gamer analogy it's sort of like playing singleplayer in Minecraft, it can be really fun and exciting, but you invest so much into something that no one else will get to appreciate. It's one of the main draws of Dust for me right now, on top of having great core gameplay, I know I can build a character that can interact with other real players, even if that interaction is minimal for now, and have confidence that what I develop as a character won't be deleted or replaced by a new title for the foreseeable future. How did you not like it?
I don't really like other shooters either, but Dark Souls and Demon's always held a special interest for me since there was so much to the games.
Piecing together the lore, debating it and theorising what actually happened in the game since the backstory simply isn't there ( a deliberate and fanatastic technique), creating player organised groups to make use of the world to achieve goals, get rep, and generally fight in one of the more skill intensive, and technical games to have been developed. Not to mention the community over in DKS, duellers, invaders, dickwraiths, Gravelording trolls ((like me)), and the co opers who love to fight he games tough AI and punishing puzzles.
I mean the whole User Covenants System was almost like EVE null sec. You claimed your spot, and if someone wanted it they had to come in there, challenge you for it, and force you out.
I'll be around to player Dust since its the only shooter I want to play right now, but DKS will be big for me if my generation of formers returns for its release. |

So no, I didn't "strong arm" him.
Okay fine matter of interpretation. I'm not here to argue. |
